I just had to replace my upper control arms due to a sound very similar to what you have. I only noticed it when going over bumps (especially railroad tracks). When I looked at my upper control arms I could clearly tell that the bushings were bad.

MAY03LT -- I have the compressor cycling in short intervals and not blowing particularly cold. What does that usually mean? The compressor has also started to while a little bit between 2000-2500 rpm. Not sure if this is a symptom or part of the problem. I have a feeling it is just the pulley...
