Thanks. I will pull the pump relay to test. I only need 2-3 seconds. My new starter turns so fast the engine starts near immediately. Can you tell me where I can find the powering schematics?

I guess I should rephrase my question. While I was cranking the engine would I be able to unlock/lock the doors using the remote keyfob? Mooseman: Scheduled the door safety switch recall with the dealer today. Thanks all for the concern that motivated me to get it done.

Update: When the starter motor wire and the coil wire were put back on the new starter the tabs ended up facing each other. Although I couldn't see if they were touching due to the position of everything I do imagine they were extremely close. Possible a bit of ice/water shorted the 2 activating...
