    stuck hub

Yeah, I had the 3 bolts out :). I trust the shop that I work with when needed. The hub was definitely replaced, you could hear it, and feel it when spinning the wheel. Last time they got it off by heating the crap out of it and chucking water on it. Their puller couldn't get it off either...

How about an OTC 7394 - I like the idea of taking a hammer to it :) OTC 7394 Universal Hub Puller : Amazon.com : Automotive

    stuck hub

Wow, that's impressive. Do you have a link? I had the rented puller on my air impact and it wasn't budging. You think hooking differently like the puller you posted would help?

    stuck hub

Not sure what the issue is with my 02 trailblazer and hubs. I can get the hub off the knuckle, but I can not for the life of me get the drive shaft out of the hubs. Earlier this year I had a shop replace both hubs because I couldn't get them off. This time I got one off and the other wouldn't...

monroe strut - a bit long?

I might not have run the nut on the top of the shock to the bottom of the threads. The oem didn't look like it was down all the way either. Both sides of the fronts are on stands. I still need to do the sway bar links so the truck is still on the stands. Should I pull the strut and tighten...

monroe strut - a bit long?

I just installed a Monroe sensa-track strut part #71341 in the front of the 02 trailblazer. I had to compress the spring to get the strut arm to fit. I used the old spring, yellow bumper and dust shield. The top nut has about 1/2" of thread showing with the nut on am I missing something?

need replacement bolt for lower strut arm

this is the bolt that holds the lower part of the strut in place, no bushings that I could see, books like a class 10.9 bolt. it's the bolt inserted into the strut arm seen below quick google: Class 10.9 Alloy Steel, Quenched and Tempered

need replacement bolt for lower strut arm

While replacing the struts I damaged the bolt for the lower strut arm where the strut mates to the arm. live and learn that you should fully remove the bolt before pushing out the strut :)

    thread lock on caliper bolts?

I usually crack the bleeder when pushing back pistons. The pads they put on just needed some grinding :) Interesting to hear on the locative, not something I have ever done.

    thread lock on caliper bolts?

interesting. I also use touch of anti-seize along with a torque wrench. the winters here make bolts hard to get off. educational to hear that folks are putting lock-tite on brake HW.

    thread lock on caliper bolts?

Our trailblazer gets used full time during the winter and part time during the summer. Every year about this time i go through the truck to make sure everything is good for the winter (mostly because I'm a wuss about working in the snow!). take it out and the brakes feel really mushy. No...
