My immediate thought is ball joints. I know this from my own personal experience. Bought new tires in September 2010, bald as a could be by April 2011 on the inside edges only. Had to replace both ball joints, and replace the rubber.

Thanks for the heads up about the Gummout at Crappy Tire. I usually use Lucas fuel injector cleaner, about 2-3 times a year, whenever I am making a long highway trip. I'll take a look for Gummout (with Regane) today after work. Heading South in about 6 weeks, so I can run it then. :smile:

Is it possible that your e-brake shoes are sticking? I used to use my e-brake daily, but one day they stuck on, and within 25 minutes of driving, the pads become mini pieces of pad sloshing about inside the rotor.

Mine kept backing off as well. Crawled underneath and put a lock washer on it. Been fine ever since.
