Don't want to offend, don't NEED it really, but $175 shipped?

I just changed mine a few weeks ago. Was simple, just unplugged the wire harness and removed the bolts. Fit the new one in there and the bolt holes lined up so I torqued the bolts and plugged in the harness. Started up the truck and put it in 4HI and problem solved. Good luck!

I love mine. I HAVE had some issues with mine since I bought it, but it just rolled over 100k miles and some things are to be expected at that age. I posted a list of my likes in the other thread you had posted wondering about issues.

So this morning I dropped the encoder motor and tried to operate it while out of the t-case, all it did was click. Got a new one and put it in the t-case, torqued it down and it works! I'm so stoked to have the functionality back, especially since there is snow on the ground and some roads...

Very helpful, I saved that one. Based on what I read, the encoder motor knows what position it is based on feedback from the transfer case. So I can't screw up changing that motor is what I'm getting at right?

I recently bought one and have been having many issues, but for some reason I still like the truck. My LGM went out, which makes everything in the liftgate, including opening it not work. Be sure to check functionality of everything on the truck before buying. I did, everything worked good...

So tomorrow I'm thinking I'll pull the TB into my shop and pull the encoder motor to see what happens while someone else turns the switch. Then I can try to turn the shaft by hand. Does it matter where I turn the shaft or leave it provided I am able to turn it? I don't want to turn the shaft...

Same results. If I put the selector to 4HI, it will flash on 4HI for a 10 seconds or so, then it gives up. The selector will be pointing to 4HI but the lights indicate A4WD and the front is definetely not driving.

Guys, the new LGM fixed my issues. It has been ten days, using the liftgate, cold and cool temperatures with no issues. That is great. However a new issue has presented itself today, which I will be posting about in the drivetrain forum. Thanks everyone for your help, I LOVE this website!
