I've had the same issues as you Voymom. My fuel gauge now reads empty all the time. The fix is to replace the "floaty" thing. There is a really good step by step picture tutorial on the "other" site if you want to tackle it yourself.
You don't have to remove the glass to fix it. The back cover of the mirror housing comes off to access the spring. You have to remove the bottom cover to get at the clips to remove the back cover.
The issue is more than likely with the spring retainer holding the mirror on, behind the glass. The spring retainer holds tension on a spring that securely holds the mirror onto it's mount. The spring allows you to rotate the mirror while holding tension not allowing it to wobble. The spring...
You probably already know this, but when you bleed the brakes start at the bleeder screw that is the furthest away from the master cylinder (r/rear), then l/rear, r/front, l/front.
I drove my '04 TB in the dark for the first time and noticed that 3 bulbs are out on the drivers door window switches and both door lock and window switches on pass front door are out. Has anyone replaced these and possibly shed some light (pun intended) on how to replace them. Thanks,
