Stabilitrak Light came on, on drive home.

Update: So bumping the key to start while driving did turn the light off. Now it comes back on when I slow down to a stop turning or slowing to stop going straight. Which makes sense since both times it came on that night I was slowing down to a stop they just both happened to be at turns so I...

Stabilitrak Light came on, on drive home.

Hmmm....hopefully it is that cause that's a pretty easy fix. I forgot to mention I have changed out both front wheel bearings with timenkin wheel bearings and I could of sworn they came with new wheel speed sensors. But still probably not a bad idea to check them out Saturday weather permitting.

Stabilitrak Light came on, on drive home.

So I think the stabilitrak light came on tonight on my drive home from work. Its the light that has a vehicle in a triangle with squiggly lines behind it. I was turning left off the exit ramp and as I was turning the steering wheel back to center I noticed that light started to flash and then...

    Front Bumper cover attach

I had something similar happen when I got in a small fender bender. Mine was still attached to the bumper luckily but only by a hair. I thought about getting a new bumper but then I'd have to get it painted. What worked for me were those metal putty sticks from advance auto. I forget exactly...

    New wheels!!!

Was able to finally get some time after work to put my new wheels on they're level 8 slam wheels in our lug pattern no less!!! I got them wrapped in some kuhmo crugens. The wheels are a 17x8.5 with a +12 offset. Best part is no spacers, hub centric rings or anything like that.

    Rear end drone

Okay will do, I really do hope you're right in it just needs to be tightened up a bit. Really do not want to deal with a whole diff rebuild Edit: Thank you so much Mooseman!!! You were absolutely right! I got it in the shop early this morning and sure enough it had in and out play and up and...

    Rear end drone

Like the pinion itself by hand like in and out play? Not sure didnt really check it, thought since threads seemed good and the marks I made lined up I'd be good. I'll get it back up in the air tomorrow and tighten it down bit and see if that helps hopefully thats all it needs. I would think if...

    Rear end drone

No I didnt torque the spindle nut. I counted the threads and painted a line. So I'm not sure what I did wrong.

    Rear end drone

Just did my rear pinion seal. Today at work. Made sure to line everything up and counted the threads for the pinion nut. Leaving work today I noticed a drone coming from the rear whenever I'm off the throttle and coasting. Seems to start happening above 35mph and goes away as soon as I get back...

    Rear Diff Leaking

Had the TB up on the lift at work the other day changing out the thermostat again and also decided to do a brake flush as well. When I got to the back I noticed that the seal on the front of the rear diff (the part where the driveshaft connects to the rear diff) was leaking and slinging fluid...

    Radio Stack Mod

I did the exact same thing in cutting the panel in 2 pieces only mine follows the curve around the 4wd switch. Never understood why we had to take that whole thing out just to get to the radio. Now one screw and bam! Would of made way more sense if it came in 2 pieces from factory.

Odd buzzing noise when shifting gears from a stop.

Update: Good news is I seem to have solved the noise problem. This last Sunday I decided to do my motor mounts, seeing as I was at 150,000ish miles I felt it was time. With the new mounts in, it's a whole new vehicle and drives so much differently. Bonus is I haven't heard that odd buzzing...

Odd buzzing noise when shifting gears from a stop.

Yea I'm planning on doing that my next day off. It's just such a puzzling sound.

Odd buzzing noise when shifting gears from a stop.

I thought so too, but I checked all the nuts to the heat sheild when i had it up in the air today while changing my oil at work. They were all tight Hmmm.....maybe, I'll have to take a look next time I get a chance. Though I have no idea what it could be rubbing on to cause that noise.
