I assume you mean the notch in the actuator gears with the part sticking out on the door gears? Is this where they should go together?

Another thing: When I first took off the old actuator I felt up at the door gears and it felt like the door wasn't even attatched. Any other thoughts? Should it have cycled completely from full left to full right?
