StormPursuit
Biography
I am very into storm chasing, and have a dedicated vehicle for that purpose. I focus chasing mainly in Tornado Alley / Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Colorado; however, I have ventured to Montana and Wyoming. I am a Basic, Advanced and NITROX SCUBA diver. In March of 2003 I got my amateur radio license and was issued the call sign KD5VQP. Once I gained my license, I joined Dallas County Emergency Management (RACES / REACT) and gained my Emergency Management Unit ID. RACES and REACT activates during natural disasters, terror attacks, and any other emergency situation. In November of 2006, I got hired by the Dallas Transit Police as a Police Officer. I realized that this wasn't exactly what I wanted to do, and that severe weather and photography was my calling in life. I wrapped up school and graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting as valedictorian in 2007. In December of 2007 I got hired by KOKI-TV FOX23 News in Tulsa as a News Photographer / live truck operator and storm chaser. I'm currently a Corporal in the Texas Guard, FireFighter for the City of Parker, Texas and a News Photojournalist for KDAF-TV in Dallas, Texas. I enjoy science, and electronics and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
