SOLVED! Intermittent stops cranking during start attempt

Very interested in this thread. we have an 06 that has been a little slow to start for some time now, but getting worse. sounds like when you have a weak battery but this one is only 4 months old and connections are good. never replaced the ignition switch on this thing (did at least 3 on our...

    SOLVED! radiator cap stuck

thanks guys. so I got home after a short drive, sprayed a little WD40 around the edge , then after about 10 min, used the ol channel locks. hardly any effort at all and she came right loose. not sure what worked but it's behaving nicely. and no I did not spray a ton of WD on the cap. doubt...

    SOLVED! radiator cap stuck

No, but I don't think I ever did. Used to just screw off, slight resistance at first, but usually comes off pretty easily.

    SOLVED! radiator cap stuck

I thought I had seen it all with this truck. so it's been a while since I've opened the radiator but I tried tonight and I cannot get the cap to budge at all. about to put the channel lock pliers on it but I know this is a plastic radiator and I'd rather not snap the neck off. any tips n tricks...

    no problems, just checking in

It's Sunday...I'm bored so I thought I'd check in on this amazing community. I have an 06 Trailblazer that we got back in 2012. Had a bit of a love/hate affair with the ol girl but she's still going. Gave her to my son when he started driving in 2018. He (with my 'expert" guidance and a fair...

liftgate glass slides side to side

The side trim is still intact and keeps the glass well away from the D pillar, but I never was a fan of the design. I usually avoid opening the glass anyway but hadn't heard about the exploding window phenomenon. Will warn my kid (current driver).

liftgate glass slides side to side

2006 trailblazer LS. on the on the liftgate, noticed that the glass slides side to side about an inch or two. still goes up and down ok and doesn't look like it's in danger of coming off but not sure what is broken or missing to let it slide. any ideas? I will note that the top trim that...

    Drivers door key cylinder problem

I'm baaack... Been using the key to lock/unlock the Snailblazer recently. this week, turned the key and the cylinder moves, but doesn't work the lock. the rod coming down from the lock cylinder has come loose from the latch. I'm assuming there's supposed to be a plastic clip on the lower end...

    Intermittent brake grind

So I take my son's trailblazer to the store last night...as I'm pulling in, apply the brakes and there's a lovely sound like someone dragging a concrete block down the road. Goes away when brakes are off. So I figure time for new pads/rotors. I drove the truck today and brakes are perfectly...

    Trailblazer remote/alarm issue

I did not see the AU0 code on the RPO sticker so I don't think this thing ever had factory RKE. will give the actuator r/r a try, sounds like the most likely culprit. much thanks to everyone who replied

    Trailblazer remote/alarm issue

Have an 06 Trailblazer LS that is driven by my son. It has what I'm sure is an aftermarket remote door unlock system (vehicle has a key slot on drivers door, and I found the module for the remote and it's definitely not GM). The thing has always acted sketchy off and on, but for the last month...
