FWIW: My neighbor has a 2004 Buick V6 with the exact same
purge valve as my 03TB I6. The purge valve would not close
and set a P0455. New valve solved problem.
FWIW: My 03 TBLT with 139k miles, after 13 years had a Freon
leak in the HP line from the condenser to evaporator. Had to remove
air filter box to find the leak with dye.
Back in the old days, you would remove all of the plugs
to do a compression test. This would allow the engine to
spin freely. This might be the reason for a possible low
reading. Just a thought.
@droos Welcome to the site. About two years ago, a fellow made
a homemade puller out of a chain link (U shaped with a threaded
thumb screw that he got at a Home Depot). I have no idea how to
find that thread without a lot of searching.
I would suggest that you inspect the "weather pack"
connector in the wiring at the tank area for corrosion
and spray with contact cleaner and add some dielectric
grease to the contacts.
It was my understanding that this recall only
applied to the long wheel base (three rows of
seats) vehicles. Mine is a short wheel base,
therefor I have no idea what I did with the
letter. Sorry.
FWIW. I bought my 03 TB new, and the dealer made
a extra key at my request. They told me that only GM
dealer or locksmith could make a ignition key for it.
Edit: because of the security system.
