Yeah, it's very strange! I had all aftermarket, but had to bring the ride into the dealership and reverted entirely back to stock; so no amp, no sub, just plugging the original wiring back into the unit. I suppose it could be dead, but I do get power to the unit. Just weird. You don't suppose...

2007 Envoy SLE. Had to revert back to stock radio (CD player - non-bose). Plugged in everything fine, but the unit will not stay on. I can press buttons and get the clock to display, but it disappears within 5 secs and goes "off" again. Cannot activate radio at all. Is this some type of...

Wife and I will often take her civic hybrid (which I abhor) on long road trips, since it nets us more than twice the MPG (literally...) Of course, it's raining on our camping escapade this weekend - not a big deal, we love it - except for the fact that what do we see?! HUGE mud puddle! DAMN...

It's a very good point. I only thought of a dealer in this case for ease of reimbursement re: the recall. But in general, I do nearly all repairs on my own anyways.

You guys definitely have me thinking now!!!! If it were a 100% payment recall, it'd be one thing... But maybe I just will do this. I'll wait for September when the weather cools off even more is all.

Yeah, I hear ya... I'm half-tempted to do it on my own. I just hate dealing with running the tank down, fuel splashing on me etc... If it were <$250, I'm tempted to just pay the price for my laziness.

As long as they don't plan on flashing it. I can't think of why they would... But if there was a chance, I would just change it myself and clear the code myself as well. Currently, my sensor codes immediately after fill up, and gets better (and more accurate) after 50 miles or so, to the point...

I really don't feel like changing it myself and would rather pay to have the shop do it, probably the stealership. The question I have is: Would these morons by any chance touch my PCM and waste my tune? I can't imagine why they would, but just wanted to make sure.
