Sounds to me like the fan was possibly defective from the get go since it did melt down.

Yes it was. Kelly from PCM for less is having a new fan drop shipped to me. Excellent company and service.

I got the truck towed to a relative's house.

Lol I was trying to avoid them & drive through. Imagine their surprise when I show up after 8yrs that too in a tow truck. Lmao, "Umm on the drive to come see you my truck broke down"

Hello Ace1875, Iv read your thread and was wondering how your new Efan turned out. Did you still have them? Was it not working right becuase the old one was defective and the new ones work now?

I was wondering the same thing. Also curious if any changes were made to the shroud.
