The left headlamp on the Trailblazer keeps going out roughly every two maybe three months! It is one of two situations: 1) Lamp filament is open. 2) Socket has been heated to the point that it comes apart and then comes off the blades of the lamp. Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted.

Well, I had decent light this morning and looked at the gas cap gasket again and it looks good. I also ran my finger over the sealing area on the tank neck and felt nothing rough and looked for rust and saw none.

The Trailblazer that we bought on New Year's Eve 2012 has a loose gear shift knob. Anyone have anytips on how to resolve the problem?

Most will consider the sending unit and pressure sensor as one and the same. Just for curiousity sake, I would pull of the wire off the sending unit and plug it back in a few times, just be sure you have good electrical contact. The oil filter is a good idea ... +1 for thinking outside the box!

There is a small red L.E.D. just to the right of the Tune/Display knob. It seems to come on periodically maybe even blinks once and then it is not emitting. What is the function of this light and what does it indicate? I am a bit befuddled as there is no recurring theme to it at this...

It would appear as though they have had some leaks related to porosity in the rear cover housing. That can happen during the casting process. In essence, the casting would have an open cell sponge like structure allowing fluids to move through the material, rather than be a solid non-porous...
