    I did 190 miles round trip this weekend pulling a 2000 lb trailer and my 3000 lb mustang on it. The Envoy Denali 4x4 did great and averaged 12.4 mpg on the trip which is not terrible considering I was going between 60-70 mph on the trip 95% highway.

    Did you do a case learn on the new motor yet? Hptuners, dealer or high dollar scanner should be able to do it. Cam and crank timing is probably out of sync if you hve not done this.

    That or Hptuners. It has the ability, too....dealer is probably cheaper, haha, but the dealer does not let you tune your car.

    You will still have to do a case relearn once you get it back. I don't know why I didn't think of that. But you have to have the computer plugged into the engine and it basically syncs the crank and cam position sensors.

    Ha probably the same number of teeth but may need to be re-synced! I did not even think of that til you mentioned the teeth. Gm or someone with a capable scanner can do it or hptuners.

    DoD is Displacement on demand. It was GM's failed attempt to get better gas mileage, etc. Probably trying to comply with some governmental regulation, but what it does is cuts out fuel to various cylinders when cruising. The bad part is that this seems to lead to excessive wear on those...

    It was in fact overcharged. You hit the nail on the head. We thought since it had ac control in the back it was rear ac and charged it as such. After a lesson from Roadie that the short wheel base do not have the rear ac unit, we sucked it all out, recharged with the correct amount and BANG...

    Would you tow it?

    Took it for a short 80 mile round trip haul yesterday to the local drag strip. The truck pulled it very well and averaged about 11 mpg doing 65ish on the highway. I forgot my laptop though so I was not able to verify temps.

    Good to know. I just replaced the axle seal and I am hoping it is just residual fluid, but I guess I will not know until I get it all degreased and pressure washed.

    No, I know. I did a trans cooler yesterday and it barely dribbled out. I am talking about when you pull the line with it running it will not fully drain the entire capacity correct?
