@Jman423 is currently working on fixing the site after an ugly update that wasn't supposed to cause any issues. Some functions aren't working properly, like hovering over links to open menus, adding prefixes to posts and the ability to add recipients in new Private Messages (now called "Direct Messages").

If there are any other new issues, please post them HERE. We are also aware about the "Welcome to eLightbars" on the main site landing page when not logged in.

Whoops, that's embarrasing. That's what happens when you're sharing files between identical sites and trying to juggle too much at one time.
  • PM/Conversation/Direct Message problem is resolved
  • Welcome message corrected to reference this site
  • Age & other unnecessary fields removed from User Info/Postbit

Seems I can add a prefix if I edit the thread however I can`t add one if starting a new thread.
 
Another issue, posts can`t be edited, even by me.
 
When I hit the edit button, all I get it the three bars once and then nothing. Tried in two different browsers. I can do a right click and open in a new tab.
 
Ah, on the desktop, I have an edit button directly. On my phone, it's the same as you.
 
Morning check and most issues are still present. Seems that anything that involves a pop-up drop down menu of some kind is affected. And still can't send a new PM (or DM now) from a PC because of the inability to add recipients. From mobile devices seems to still work.

As stupid as it sounds, the most annoying for me is the Like button asking to confirm and only having the Like available :confused:

Again, if anyone is noticing an issue, please report it here.

Ah yes, same on mobile. I was wondering why I can only thumbsup and no menu of other liking options there.
 
I get that too on my phone. Again on desktop PC I get the confirmation request and no option other than Like. I'm on this site mostly on my PC so affecting me the most.
 
If you are having trouble that is preventing you from using the site, go to the bottom left corner of the site and choose the “Backup Style”. Be warned that some features and options will be missing, but it will get you by until we get a handle on the main forum style.

That works! Reaction other than Like and also able to send PMs from PC. Edit also works.
 
The fact that so many people are seeing different things simultaneously is a concern. I have yet to see this Like/Reaction Confirmation on my end, but I researched it and I know what I’m looking for. What a stupid feature, and you can’t turn it off. But yet, some of you see it and some of you don’t, so WTF?

It's something between desktop and mobile versions. So far, everything seems to be working fine in this backup style.
 
Just responded with a laugh-emoji (had the full range of emojis to choose from) and no confirmation screen (though I did see it yesterday). Running FireFox on a Win 10 Pro Desktop.

Another very minor issue I just noticed, probably related to the backup style, is that the designation "Original Poster" doesn't show in threads under the OP's avatar.
 
Another minor issue on the What's New? page. Just logged in for the first time today and the new posts listed as not having been updated since my last visit when they are clearly new for today.

I've found that to happen sometimes before, but not often. Maybe has to do with time zones?
