Does anyone have instructions/pics on how to replace the lights in the climate control panel on a 2006 97x? Half the buttons are out.

Thanks in advance!!!

I think the one you have is digital, not sure if your model came with the manual HVAC where it has the temperature sliders in the middle. If you have the digital model, it is super easy to replace the bulbs or retrofit LED's in. Just pull the knobs on both sides off, unscrew the 4 hex screws in the back and pull the front face from the back panel. Then the PCB is held in the plastic case by tiny clips that are held in with tension, just take a small screw driver or even your finger and pull the board to one side and straight up. Make sure you are good with soldering small components because it is a small joint to solder on the board for the bulbs and don't heat it up too much or the little pads will come off the PCB.

If you have a manual HVAC, it's really the same procedure but you get to deal with what other members have posted is a PITA with the slider tabs not coming off. I myself had no problem getting mine off. I twisted mine side to side and then wiggled it up and down slightly and it came right off, didn't break the sliding tabs off the PCB or anything like that.

It's the digital. Saab's were all upscale

I agree, LED's are the way to go.

There are individual little bulbs for the bottom row of lights. When I had taken my co-workers controls apart, he only had the one blown for the recirculate button but after I replaced that, then the A/C and defrost light blew so I just replaced the whole bottom row and was done with it.
