FACEPALM...

Went to pull cam and found out that the TT1 cam from EPS will not work on a DOD system. So now I get to try and hunt down all the parts needed to delete it by tomorrow night

I guess you're 230/280

Any progress?

What benefit do you get out of efan? Is there a kit or is this something that needs to be parted together on your own?

I believe there is a kit out there, but I haven't researched it enough. It can free up a few extra ponies though. My clutch is going, so may as well do the swap

pcmofnc.com

There's a kit to use F-body '98-02 fans, or another to use Spal fans. I'm opting for the LS1 fans, so if they die I can get replacements anywhere.

I checked the pcm kit out last night too. They claim gains of 12-18hp and 1mpg. Those numbers sure seem high. How does the stock fan cause that much drag? I thought it engages/disengages when needed as well.

I'm skeptical of the numbers too, but they're a good idea all the way around. Having that weight hanging off the end of the water pump doesn't do it any good, that's for sure. I saw a dyno test years ago on regular clutch fans, and they certainly can zap that much and more horsepower, so it may not be exagerated. It also cleans up the engine bay and makes some room.
