Heat/AC randomly/intermittently won't blow

Recently, the heat will intermittently, just not blow air. When it does come on, once it's running, it works normally and stays working.....but if you turn it off and back on, or turn the truck off and back on, sometimes it will come on, sometimes it won't. You have to keep playing with it, turning it off and back on, hitting buttons, etc. It all lights up, and displays fan speed, temp adjustments, etc...all as if normal. Temp guage reads about 210 steadily once she's warmed up. Tried putting it on AC, switching floor to defrost, etc...all the same deal.

Some sort of sensor/actuator/solenoid/electrical connection issue? I've done lots of reading here, and elsewhere, but have no clue where to start. I'm hoping that with these particular symptoms, someone can point me in the right direction of what to look at first. Super cold out out lately...worst winter ever! Any help is much appreciated!!

Assuming you mean the BLOWER is the thing not working, it's a very common problem. Search for "resistor pack".

Yes, of course I mean the blower. It's what blows. Well, sporadically. Thanks, man. Will do that.

I had that exact issue, replaced the resistor module, same deal. Replaced the blower motor, no problem since.

I would also look into the connector for the Blower Motor Control Module, there could a intermittent connection cause the off and on operation.

BTW - the OP has an LT model that has the Auto HVAC system which doesn't have the resistor pack.

So do I. Don't remember the name for the electronic version of the resistor pack. Yes, definitely check the wiring and connections. Sometimes does melt.

Right...wasn't sure what a resistor "pack" was, but I've been steering towards the control module. Thanks!
