Curiosity has me wondering how long everyone is getting out of the original airbags for the rear suspension? I have a 2006 and they still don't leak. They are showing some dry rot and cracking though. I have a new set of NOS OEM GM airbags sitting in the garage.

I don't want to get into the debate about switching to springs. I'm sticking with the airbags. Just curious as to how lucky or unlucky people have been with stock airbags.

Mine are just fine in my '07 and they're adjusted as well. Although, my truck is a garage queen :rotfl:

Buddy of mine just had to replace the ones in his 04 XUV a couple of months ago.

Mine were going bad with I bought the truck. It's an 05 97x and it had 138k on it when I bought it. My buddy's brother (ASE tech) who replaced them for me said that they were dry rotting to hell.

Mine are still hanging in there, had a scare a year or so ago when the back occasionally was low. After hauling heavy construction supplies a few times, it has been fine. So I attribute the sagging to debris? in the solenoid seal(s) in the compressor.

FYI, my truck originally lived in Florida for it's first 7 years and is still mostly clean underneath. I bought it ~2 1/2 years ago with 164k miles.

Edit: It's possible they were replaced before I bought it.

I did the air springs on pops 05 Rainier at 135,000km because passenger side bag was leaking.
I am going to be doing the 02 envoy this summer, the bags on it are dry rotted to hell. I got it with 200,000 km on it and don't know if they have ever been changed before...I'm gonna say no.
