Pink door handles?

Decided to paint my door handles from faded gray to black. While working on them in the driveway the last few days, 3-4 people who were driving by, stopped to chat. Every single person asked if I was painting them pink. Honestly, it hasn't crossed my mind. I got the passenger side sanded and primed and put them back on to finish later because it was getting dark. I really really like the contrast and wonder how they would look........

Keep in mind that, currently, the only pink accessories on the exterior of my 02 TB LT are the front and rear Chevy bow ties, the front wipers (lost the rear and replaced with black for now) and the 'Chevrolet' & 'Trailblazer' badges on the cargo door. I am going to remove the 'Chevrolet' & 'Trailblazer' from the cargo door In the next few days, paint the wiper arms black & replace with black wipers.

Once I get that completed, the only pink on the exterior will be the front & rear bow ties & I think it would look good. I'm going to paint the door handles black for now. However, IF I decide I want them pink, I am going to use PlastiDip Fierce Pink on them. Here's a pic of my truck (all shots from today) showing front view, rear view, & a shot of the doors with primered handles. Once I remove all the other pink except the bow ties, how do Ya think it will look with pink handles on the doors?

Also, I am in the process of sanding the gray rubber on the front and rear bumper to paint it black also, so there will be no gray on the truck, just black and the few pink accessories.

I've learned this, if you have a good idea and you're not sure....just do it. You can always revert back.

personally I think door handles should blend in as much as possible, I see all these Trailblazer and envoys driving around with those chrome door handles and they just look so tacky. Plus we have already had a discussion over on Trailvoy about not overdoing the accent color and I think the door handles would do that.

Looks like you also found the time to remove the side moldings from the doors like I suggested, much cleaner.

Had lots of discussions years ago on Trailvoy, but for the past few years the discussion over there is worthless at best.

I would not go pink on the handles. i think black or color match is the only way they should be.

I was going to color match my door handles with polo green paint. But I like the black to green contrast

Were you talking to yourself. That place is a waste of time. If you have read the story here, you will understand why.

As far as the door handles, Like mentioned above, I would either go color matched as my first choice or black. No chrome or accent colors IMO. It is YOUR truck though, so do whatever makes you happy. Just an opinion

No, I have not read the story and I don't play favorites, the website that has the info I needed on my initial searches is where I started, and where the OP started too, where we discussed this in her introduction thread over there.

there are still people over there and plenty of good info regardless of what ever happened.

No, I have not read the story and I don't play favorites, the website that has the info I needed on my initial searches is where I started, and where the OP started too, where we discussed this in her introduction thread over there.

there are still people over there and plenty of good info regardless of what ever happened.

Read the link HT posted, it will take your blinders off. Then you will realize the admins, mods, and members that provided all of the awesome information on TV are now here. The only good information comes from archived threads over htere. That informaiton came from the staff and members who are here now. When searching threads over there, notice all of the "No Longer With Us" under usernames.

Obviously, her truck is black. It was MY general opinion regardless of the color of the vehicle. Color matched first then black. No chrome or accent colors.

I don't subscribe to website drama, frankly as someone new to the TB/Envoy scene seeing the general attitude of people on here at the slightest mention of that place (regardless the reason) just makes this site look like it's populated by a bunch of elitist jackwagons I wanted nothing to do with, which is why I took so long to subscribe, it's not about "having blinders on", it's about the outside perspective of someone that wasn't around during the "dark times" seeing how you treat anyone that even mentions that place.

It's the whole you catch more flies with honey argument, which the general attitude perceived from this site to an outside observer that knows nothing of what happened in the past makes you guys appear like a bunch of ranting jackass's, which i'm sure your not, but thats the vibe that comes across at the very mention of that other site.

You are not the first one to say that and I can appreciate it. I just hope you took the time to read it to understand why it is so. I am hoping the culture begins to change, but in general the only ones that rant on the old site are the newer converts from there.

So, I never received a single notification that anyone had responded. Lol either way, I got the mod bug under control on the door handles and I decided I'm sticking with black. But, my left hand has been messing up since the first of March. Couldn't get in with family doc so went to urgent care. They diagnosed it as 'wrist tendonitis'. After buying a $40 wrist brace, 2 follow up visits with family doc, a round of prednisone, and a trip to an oethopedic specialist the end result was a cortisone shot in my wrist (

I guess they're pretty smooth now after all of that sanding? (just wondering lol)

Also, you can configure your notification settings in the settings on your profile. You'll probably have to do it on the computer.

I wasn't 'following' the thread. Did fix that, however.

On a positive note, I have got both rear door panels painted black in the meantime lol
