Puddle lights in mirrors?

So, I have a pair of white led bolts and want to install them in the bottom of my side mirrors, just not sure how exactly to connect them to my dome light circuit to act as puddle lights.
Is there a way to tie these into the perimeter lighting?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

There's a good write up on how to add signals in the mirrors when they didn't come OEM. Use that for the groundwork. Then I've seen allot of people work the wire up the pillar and tie into the dome/map light above the door. This was when adding floor lighting when it didn't come OEM, like mine, which is dumb.

I don't have a glove box light or under hood lighting either. My old '96 S-10 blazer even had these...

Hope that gets ya started in the right direction.

If my dome lights were above the door handles.
Mine are centered on the roof.
I'll try to find a wiring diagram to determine what circuit is perimeter lighting

For an LT model mine seems to be optioned kinda weird.
No home link.
But I do have onstar, Bose and sunroof.
Eventually I'd like to add leather, and power seats for passenger side too.

Try to watch the double posting. :popo:

Perimeter lighting involves your parking lights, and reverse lights too, commanded by the BCM. Much harder circuit to tap compared to the dome lights.

For my scuff plate LEDs, I ran my wires all the way up the pillars to the center mounted dome lights. As long as you've got a wire snake, or an unbent wire hanger, shouldn't be too hard to feed your wiring there.

Sounds like a good plan, gotta wait for a day that I don't have to work.

Ok, got the bulbs in, trying to determine the easiest way to get wiring from the door into the car, is there space in the factory door wiring boot thing?
How do I get in there?

Pull the door panels, pop the rubber boots off, disconnect the harness connections at the hinges, and start fishing wires. Helps if you have a wire snake, or an unbent metal hanger. I was able to fit 5 runs of 18AWG wire through those for my power folding and parking light functions.

Some people just poke holes in the rubber boots, run their wires through, and either tape or wrap them in loom, and call it a day. Much less work, and for the most part the wires are hidden from view all the time anyway.

Sounds fairly simple, thanks blckshdw.
First time my door panels have ever been off, so I'm unsure what'll be in there when I get to it in the morning
