Does anyone know the details about the differences in the lower control arms on the Saab 9-7x which seem to be cast aluminum vs the welded stamped steel lower control arms that are on the Trailblazer and Envoy? I don't see any information about this anywhere here.
Saab 9-7x lower control arms different that ones on other GMT 360s

All GMT360/370 upper and lower control arms are the same. None were aluminum unless some sort of weird aftermarket racing part. The lowers are stamped steel with a cast iron frame bracket. The uppers are just stamped steel.

Nope. I have confirmed that they are not all the same, but they are not aluminum. I was at junk yard a few weeks ago and saw the 2008 9-7x has a slightly different lower control arm vs the other GMT360s in the yard. I also noted the same on the 2009 9-7x. I also looked up the part number and they are indeed different numbers 25784240 & 25784239
The sway bar end links are also a different design. I didn't bother looking at the sway bar end links for a 2008 or 2009 GMT360 while I was there. I'd not be suprised if the TBSS from those years have the same changes.
Aftermarket reference part compatibility is a poor reference source for these things, especially unique suspension parts like springs and shocks which have many different combos. Yes, I'm sure those will fit.

That was an across platform change in end links that happened in 2008. So year for year, they are the same. You probably compared a 2008-09 9-7x to older GMT360s.
That might be true, I will be keeping an eye out for the 08 and 09s when I am in the yard again. However it is certainly false that all lower control arms are the same for the entire production run of GMT360 vehicles. Here is the photo of the lower control arm it is absolutely different than earlier GMT360s. 
That would be an 08-09. There were a couple versions for the earlier ones.

The change in 2004 was for the different sway bar and position of the end links.
But my statement that the lower control arms are the same year for year across the entire platform is still valid.

Ok, so you agree this statement "All GMT360/370 upper and lower control arms are the same." is incorrect ?
The sway bar end link change over was from 2004? I have an 05 and it's the same style as 02-04s that I've seen. Where are you getting your information? It doesn't match what I see in GM eSI.

It's the same style but has changed because of the sway bar which went from an external mount to a "through the frame" mount with a relocated mount point on the A-arm.
I was at the yard this weekend, this is an '07 9-7x. It has the older style sway bar links. Note mounting point of the sway bar vs the 08. Clearly different geometry for the sway bar link. All GMT360 lower control arms are NOT the same. 
I also found an '08 Envoy (below), it has the identical set up as the 08 and 09 Saab 9-7x. I'm not sure where you get your info about 2004-2007 changes, or I just don't understand what you said.
