Strange Fan Problem

Hi Guys,

I am having a strange problem, about every other morning my fan will not blow, the ac is working because while driving I can feel cold air coming out of the vents. If I turn off the engine and restart that sometimes works other times after about 10 minutes of driving the fan will start blowing. It never has an issue at any other time of day.

Thoughts?

I had that exact same problem. Motor was on its was out as brushes were not making good contact with the rotor. I cleaned the rotor contacts that the brushes run on with a scotchbrite pad. Basically held the scotchbrite against it while spinning the fan. It has been working fine since my little cleanup 2 months ago. I also added some oil on the end bearing.

If you're a little squeamish or you want to be sure it will always runs right, get a new blower motor.
