My Dad had to drive my Rainier yesterday, he said he noticed a ziizing noise from the front end while driving, it stopped once below 20MPH, he said it was the front diff, anybody know what could be? APPROX MILEAGE: 78,215

Sounds likely. See if the sound changes when you corner steadily.
(And, by the way, you cannot always tell which side is bad by the traditional way. Mine turned out to be the opposite side than I thought, and it was a good thing I bought a pair of new hubs right from the start.)
