Hi y'all, I am wondering what are signs of bad carbon build up? And, what are Best Practices to cleaning up carbon build up? (To note: I cleaned up my throttle-body last Summer, it was black as tar). Also, what parts are most vulnerable to severe carbon build up?

So, I am looking at purchasing a blower motor for my '06 Trailblazer. One of the junk yards has a motor available from 2002 and 2003 Chevy trailblazers, and a blower motor from a 2005 GMC Envoy. Could I use any of these to replace my blower motor? Here are the part numbers.
