I have tried on several occasions, some of the prescribed fixes to get the seat to move forward. I know for a fact it is not an electrical issue, but a mechanical bind ! I have decided to take it into a dealership. :frown: Thanks for all the help in trying to resolve my problem.

I was able to separate knobs from switches without breakage earlier. I will try the light tap on the silver piece. Will advise accordingly. Thanks for all input. [emoji3]

There is a clicking sound and I can see hair thin motion in the direction that the switch is actuated. I'll be very satisfied just for the seat to move far enough forward to untrap the rail bolt for removal.

Gerbil21 I tried your tip on prying up on rail insert. It won't move. I can't pull the seat from the vehicle because it is all the way back trapping the rear nut on the left rail. :mad:

Just over 126K. Owners manual list the transmission fluid capacity at 5 qts. Thats got to be a typo !

I just purchased a 2005 Trailblazer LT, 4.2 inline 6, 2 WD. What transmission does it have ? I would like to put in a deep pan for the transmission along with a transmission cooler. Its been dealer maintained. Thanks Jaxgent
