inner tie rod plastic cup/collar thing

Doing the whole front end on a 2008 Trailblazer (2wd 4.2L). I've lost one of the little white plastic cups from the original inner tie rod that I guess serves to protect something from rubbing against something else. Before I go to the junkyard, is it possible to get them new? I'm not even...

What did you do to your GMT today? [Part II]

Got motor mounts done, on mom's 2008 Trailblazer LT 2WD, with the mighty 4.2L. I watched a number of youtube videos and then attacked it. Biggest curve ball, I couldn't get the darn fan off. I needed the fan disconnected so I could jack up the motor. I tried a bunch of things, including...

Here's how the original Chevy Trailblazer was the most rebadged car in GM's history

Stumbled upon this video that talks about the Trailblazer's history a bit. Not sure where to put it.

GM Recalls Nearly 1M Vehicles (Catastrophic Engine Failure) Are YOU affected?

This might seem off topic, but I'm just chiming in that I agree that the last 10 years of new cars has been a s*** show. Here's what's transpired in my corner of the universe because of the s*** show ... I'm basically not a GM kind of guy, but after keeping up with maintenance on mom's...

Saw in a South Main Auto vid, a trailblazer with bad intake valve on cylinder 6.

The 4.2L Trailblazer was brought in for suspected bad alternator, but Eric discovers low compression on cylinder 6, and leakdown test shows it's the intake valve. The trailblazer has 180k miles. What causes this to happen, and what can I do to prevent it from happening to my 2008 TB 4.2L?

SOLVED! 2008 Trailblazer radio sound cutting out

I'm calling it good. I put the OnStar module back, but left it unhooked. Stereo sounds good as ever.

SOLVED! 2008 Trailblazer radio sound cutting out

It does seem that way, unless some wires got bumped, when I rotated the seat bottoms to access the OnStar. I plan on driving it for another month or so as-is. Then I'll plug the OnStar back in, and if the problem comes back, it's confirmed.

SOLVED! 2008 Trailblazer radio sound cutting out

So far so good. Stereo working normally.

SOLVED! 2008 Trailblazer radio sound cutting out

Glovebox codes includes UQA. So I guess I have the Bose? I do have a little audio/ac interface on the back of the center console. As mentioned previously, the sound cutouts are instantaneous. Instant off, and instant back on. Sometimes in rapid succession. I get no odb2 codes when I...

SOLVED! 2008 Trailblazer radio sound cutting out

I have a 2008 Trailblazer, and the sound starts cutting out repeatedly, sometimes quickly like a machine gun, and sometimes slow. At the same time, I hear a clicking noise behind my head. - factory stereo, 99% sure it's non-bose - vehicle has onstar, but we don't pay for it, and never use it...
